Faces, gestures and places. Different paths, one common thread: the Trama Percettiva.

“I wanted to go beyond traditional ways of painting. I imagined a weave, like lace, through which to rediscover the image.”Explore the research

Alessandra Garzetti was born in Brescia in 1980 and lives and works on Lake Garda. After studying at the Istituto d’Arte in Mantua, she gained experience in decorative arts and interior decoration. Since 2021 she has devoted herself actively to painting, developing from the outset a personal artistic inquiry focused not only on the image depicted, but also on how the viewer perceives it.
Her research stems from a desire to move beyond painting understood as a mere image. This impulse gave rise to the Trama Percettiva, the defining feature of her visual language: a second, textured layer of painting that creates a filter through which the viewer pieces the image back together. Seeing thus becomes less immediate, slower and more conscious.
